Accenture is rolling out Microsoft 365 Copilot to 740,000+ people. As Satya Nadella notes this is Microsoft's largest Copilot deployment so far, and it is not an accident.

Over the last two years, Satya has turned Microsoft into an AI‑first company. He's reshaped leadership, including bringing in Mustafa Suleyman to lead Microsoft AI. 

Copilot is the new front door to work and has crossed an important threshold with Council, Researcher, Agent Mode, Agent 365 and deep integration into business workflows, not just “type a prompt and hope.”

Accenture’s approach is just as telling. 

They started in phases, invested in training, built guardrails, measured real usage, and let employees surface what actually worked in their jobs. 

Behind the scenes sit dedicated Reinvention Services and “Reinvention Engines” that combine an elite university, innovation lab and industrial‑scale delivery for AI‑enabled ways of working.

A few things to note:

1. Is scale the new differentiator? AI pilots vs. Going broad and deep with every function, every workflow.

2. Enablement > deployment. Handing out licenses is the easy part. The hard part for organizations is always the culture shift. 

3. The org chart is being redrawn. The companies that win will be the ones brave enough to rewire not just retrofit AI on top of how work used to happen.
